Toms Haul
For years I have hated Toms, absolutely despised them.
The fabric, the rudamentary style, the elastic inserts... everything visual about them.
But despite my despise, I’ve always loved the concept behind them: One For One.
“Through your purchases, TOMS helps provide shoes, sight, water, safe birth and bullying prevention services to people in need.”
Now, despite their appearance, reporters across the country had been raving about this brand, and despite my better judgement, I purchased my first pair from The 308 Boutique in Holdrege, NE.
A classic “Nebraskan” tan suede ankle boot with a much lower heel than I typically wear. I walked out of the store with a fake smile thinking I’d be poshing no these in no time. I was wrong.
They’re honestly some of the most comfortable “heels” (I use that word loosely) I’ve ever owned. I think it’s the footbed.
Now, I’m still not saying these are haute but any girl slinging camera gear, grabbing a beer or two at the tailgate, or hitting a hayride should seriously consider tossing on a pair Toms.
okay — time to talk new shoes
Once again... I’m wandering into The 308 Boutique, needing nothing.
When I spotted the shoe sale, I knew I’d be doing some damage.
...and my eyes fell on these.
They're a grey/purple sandal in a velvet corduroy with a stacked blonde wooden heel. Dead.
I think it’s hard to recognize, but these are actually the same shoe as the black ones., but sadly (for you) they’re no longer available online.
The last pair I snagged are a blush suede crossover tennis shoe. Truthfully, I’m not a huge fan of this trend, but when it comes to reporting, these will be clutch.
Each one fun, each one ridiculously comfortable, and each pair on sale for TWENTY DOLLARS in store!
